FAQ
What are the available holes sizes?
14 mils to 150 mils - 1 mil increments
150 mils to 200 mils - 5 mil increments
above 200 mils - holes would be routed out
We only use drills in imperial units. Files submitted in metric units (mm) would be converted to imperial units (mils) and rounded up to the next mil.
I am used to designing in metric units while the website is specified in imperial units. Is there a conversion chart I can refer to ?
When requesting an online quote, the quote form can handle mm units as well as inches for dimensions.
How do I specify internal cutouts/milling in my design?
All internal cutouts/slots/milling should be specified on the same layer is the board outline. The the minimum routable slot size is 32 mils. During order time, please state this requirement in the "Special Request" section so that our CAM engineers is aware of it. This is not something we encounter often - so there are chances we may overlook it. Make sure it's known to us.

Most HDD boards have the unique BIOS(ROM or NVRAM chip) which includes the unique data to access the HDD system area. If the BIOS information is not compatiblewith your HDD, there is no way to read the HDD's data. Because of this, we should use the original PCB's BIOS when we swap PCB. BIOS CHIP SWAPPING IS A MUST.
Before you purchase, please read:
1) This is just a PCB (Printed Circuit Boards), not the whole Hard Drive;
2) PCB board number is printed on the board, not on the sticker;
3) These boards are used, the circuit board components not falling, the interface did not break. All PCBs have been tested before shipping;
4) It is used as data recovery/repair issues, the PCB board has been tested and in good working condition. There is no refund/exchange policy;
5) It is a buyer responsibility to know if the board is adequate for his hard drive model;
6) Hard drive failures are NOT always caused by PCB failure. We cannot guarantee your drive to be repaired by replacing the hard drive PCB;
7) You should exchange the BIOS chip before you swap the PCB, in order to make the replacement board compatible with your Hard Drive.

Symptoms of failure:
The drive will power up normally (no ticking noises, errors etc), but will not be recognized by the computer;
The drive will power up normally and be recognized correctly but will report a size of 0 bytes;
The drive will power up but report SMART errors on boot.
Replacement the PCB may not solve the above problem. These problem is caused by the HDD firmware corrupted.
